PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE 1 focuses on the understanding of the quantity surveying profession and pre-contract stage. Student will be introduced to the quantity surveying profession with the related professional bodies involved and the pre-contract stage in a construction process. Every aspect in the pre-contract stage will be explained starting from the projects stages, the building team and the roles each team member. The procurement method, tendering procedures, tender document and tender report. The topic of construction contract will be covered at the last chapter of this course.
